KARACHI: Pakistan Airlines Pilots Association (Palpa) representatives have accused the PIA’s management of launching a propaganda campaign against them, saying they are not on strike.Speaking to reporters at the Karachi Press Club today, Palpa representatives said: “We are demanding our incentives seized in 2001.”

They said that the management was responsible for the losses occurred to the national carrier due to their protest. They further said that 500 pilots had been overburdened as the management was taking work of 650 pilots from them.

“We want to hold talks with the management for our just demands, while the management is giving it a wrong color.”The Palpa called on the management to provide 10 days off in a month and prior notice of 12 hours before a flight in writing. The flag carrier’s management has called up pilots within its ranks to man the cockpit as a stopgap measure.
